Fishcombe Cove is ideal if you want to escape the crowds. Situated along the coast from Brixham, this small shingle beach is a quiet, peaceful little cove protected on all sides by tall red cliffs. The sheltered cove makes this a safe place for swimming, but you may have a few spectators as boats and yachts often moor up here, and sometimes there’s even the odd seal!

Access: Difficult - Restricted access via very steep path from the car park or via the steps from Battery Gardens.

Berry Head Nature Reserve is an important wildlife and historical site in Brixham, South Devon. 

The area is an internationally acclaimed heritage site and National Nature Reserve, home to a variety of coastal wildlife, history, geological formations and restored Napoleonic War fortifications.

The South West Coast Path runs through the area heading south from Berry Head leading towards the Dart Estuary through National Trust coastland.

Berry Head Country Park has 400 million years of limestone at its heart and some of the English Riviera's best coastal views, and is home to many species of rare and threatened species of wildlife, including horseshoe bats, and one of the largest colonies of guillemots on the southern coast.

There is a cafe in the Country Park that offers stunning views out over the bay as well as lighthouse and a Visitor Centre where various events take place along with visitor information about the history of the area.

With dozens of different animals across 80 acres of beautiful, spacious grounds – you are in for a really wild time at Paignton Zoo! Located in South Devon, Paignton Zoo is one of the South West’s most exciting visitor attractions 

Paignton Sands is the ideal holiday beach. This long stretch of red sand and shallow sea is the ultimate beach for seaside fun, paddling and relaxing.

The beach is home to pier full of exciting arcade games, a large green perfect for games and picnics complete with crazy golf, Geoplay Park, cinema and visiting fun fair in the season. There are also toilets and food kiosk along the promenade, with a cafés, restaurants shops and more amusements found a short walk away,  providing everything you could need for a great day out by the sea.
